Case studies in this section are divided into two groups. The first group features longer documents which investigate selected timber structures in details and specific timber construction related topics such as traditional carpentry techniques, examples of simple timber structures in France and student design competition.

The second group contains shorter case studies which briefly describe timber solutions in new build and conservation situations. It features a variety of building uses: commercial, offices, pool hall, residential, school, theatre and worship.
