Objectives

The prime industrial / economic objectives are:

  • A five-fold increase in the use of resin-bonded restoration
  • A ten-fold increase in the use of FRP materials in timber restoration
  • Reduction in direct restoration costs of 25%
  • Reduction in total restoration time / client disruption of up to 20%
  • Reduction in existing fabric removal of up to 15%
  • Reduction in volume of replacement timber of 20%.

 

The social objectives are:

  • Better conservation of the built heritage
  • Concealed repairs providing excellent aesthetic qualities
